In the early 90’s before grunge, there was classic rock. The young kids of Badface liked Classic Rock. Epic solos like the ones from Led Zeppelin, The Eagles, Lynyrd Skynyrd and Status Quo. Gutsy bluesy vocals. Simple but effective rhythms, laid down as our forefathers did in the 70’s.
But then, Nirvana and Pearl Jam. Abs with an undercurrent of punk thrown in, Badface got angry and the riffs got heavier. But they didn’t lose their love of the craftsmanship of classic rock and their sound was born.
Regularly found at Romford’s live music venues in the first half of the decade, Badface were firm live favourites.
There is talk (as always) of a reunion, who knows. We might be old, but we’re still noisy… watch this space for news.
