Folk singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, normally playing around 230-250 gigs a year, he’s mostly on the road, performing as a solo folk singer/troubadour/entertainer, as half of the Folk duo Strong Ale (Guitar and Bouzouki) and a fifth of Folk Rock outfit Brophy’s Law (Bass), Compere of the John Peel Stage at Glastonbury Festival and regular Live Streamer.
Though specialising in British and Irish folk songs (famous and obscure!), I have a repertoire of over 600 pop and rock covers. I'm very democratic so shows often end up improvised around audience requests. Very much an entertainer, I like to make active contact with the audience, using humour and wireless technology to break the ice. I aim to deliver music people like with a big friendly smile.
